Silver Oaks Chateau Wedding in Pacific, MO: Capacity, Cost and What Is Included

Silver Oaks Chateau Medium Shot

Silver Oaks Chateau is a French inspired wedding venue on 28 private acres in Pacific, Missouri, about 35 minutes west of St. Louis. The Grand Hall seats 280. A Friday or Saturday booking gives you and your vendors exclusive use of the whole property for 14 hours. Here is what I would want to know before touring it.

What is Silver Oaks Chateau?

A purpose built French inspired venue, established in 2015, sitting on 28 acres of wooded private grounds. It is not a restored historic building, whatever you may have read elsewhere, including on an older version of this page. It was built to be a wedding venue and it shows in the things that usually go wrong somewhere else.

The property includes the Grand Hall, indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, a Bridal Suite with multiple hair and makeup stations, a Groom’s Suite with a wet bar, and grounds that now include a waterfall.

How many guests does Silver Oaks Chateau hold?

Up to 280 seated in the Grand Hall. Ceremony spaces are set to your specifications with separate white outdoor chairs, so your ceremony layout is not constrained by the reception floor plan.

What is included in the rental?

  • Exclusive use of the venue and the full 28 acre property
  • 14 hours on Friday or Saturday, 10 hours on Sunday
  • All furniture: wooden cross back chairs, a love seat option for the couple, and a choice of 66 inch round, 6 foot or 8 foot tables
  • A venue coordinator on site for 6 to 7 hours
  • Two planning meetings before the day, for timeline and floor plan
  • Use of their decor catalog, set up and taken down by their team
  • Weather gear: outdoor heaters, patio umbrellas, patio furniture
  • An online portal for payments, planning and communication

One distinction worth getting straight: the venue coordinator runs the venue, not your wedding. They handle setup, aisle cues, vendor timeline collaboration and guest direction. They do not do day of coordination or event design, and the venue will refer you elsewhere for that. Budget for a planner separately if you want one.

What does Silver Oaks Chateau cost?

They do not publish Friday and Saturday pricing, and they explain why: the rate depends on the month, the day and the package. A Saturday in September prices differently from a Saturday in February. Check their online calendar for your date first, then email inquiries@silveroakschateau.com for pricing before you book a tour.

The numbers they do publish are the ones that catch people out:

  • Deposit: $2,000 for a Friday or Saturday, $1,000 for a Sunday. Non refundable, applied to your rental fee.
  • Extra time: up to two additional hours at $250 per hour. Earliest access is 8am on Friday and Saturday, 9am on Sunday.
  • Rehearsal: a one hour slot on the Thursday before for $150, at 4pm, 5pm or 6pm, first come first served.

Food, bar and the rules worth reading twice

Silver Oaks does not cater. Food comes through your caterer, chosen from their partner list. Outside food and drink is fine before the event, but once guests arrive everything runs through your caterer.

This changes on 1 January 2027, when Silver Oaks begins providing in house bar service. If your wedding is in 2027 or later, ask how that affects your bar budget, because it is a different arrangement from what couples married there in 2026 will tell you about.

  • No glitter, no confetti, no real candles. Flameless candles are fine.
  • Hang things with command strips or anything else that will not mark the walls.
  • Friday and Saturday: bar closes at 11:00pm, music ends at 11:15pm, everything and everyone out by midnight.
  • Nothing can be left overnight for collection the next day.

Is there somewhere to stay?

Yes. The Chalet is their overnight accommodation and it sleeps up to 18. Four private bedrooms sit on the main floor, each with a queen or king bed and its own bathroom, closet, smart TV and thermostat, themed around French regions: Provence, Burgundy, Paris, and the Chateau Room as the master, which has a clawfoot tub and a private deck.

If you are getting ready on site, ask about the Paris room. The venue describes it as the most spacious, with black and white decor and a chandelier, and space is the thing that actually matters when eight people and a photographer are in one room at 10am.

What the 14 hour block actually buys you

This is the part I would weigh most heavily. Fourteen hours of exclusive access is generous by St. Louis standards, and the reason it matters is not the extra time itself. It is that nobody is rushing you between locations, and portraits can happen when the light is right rather than when the schedule says so.

On 28 wooded acres with an 11:15pm music cutoff, that means you can build a timeline around sunset instead of squeezing portraits into a gap. If you are comparing this venue against one with a six hour block, that difference is worth more than most of the line items on either quote.

Who is Silver Oaks right for?

Book it if you want one property for the whole day, a guest list under 280, and a venue that handles furniture, decor and setup so you are not renting and hauling. The Chalet makes a two night weekend workable without a hotel block.

Look elsewhere if you want a genuinely historic building, since this one was built in 2015, or if you need a venue that caters in house before 2027, or if a hard midnight clear out does not suit the party you have in mind.

Already have your date?

Tell me your date and I will tell you honestly whether I am still open, and what the light does on that property at that time of year. Their online calendar fills early, so it is worth checking both of us at once.

Collections start at $4,900 for a full wedding day, and $5,500 brings my wife Megan in as a second photographer. Film and digital, shot side by side. Sneak peeks land within 72 hours, and you see your gallery for the first time in person rather than in an email.

Venue details verified September 2026 against silveroakschateau.com. Confirm current pricing and availability with the venue, and note the bar service change taking effect 1 January 2027.
