The Full Story: A Wedding Planning Game

Wedding planning starts as a celebration and turns into a spreadsheet somewhere around month three. Between the guest list, the budget, the timeline, and the seventeen browser tabs you have open right now, the part where you get to marry your favorite person tends to get buried under logistics.

The Full Story is our attempt to fix that. It is a wedding planning game that treats your engagement like a story you are playing through instead of a checklist you are surviving. Level up your planning, one quest at a time.

How the game works

Instead of one endless to-do list, planning is broken into quests. You work through them in order, each one small enough to actually finish in a sitting, and the whole thing moves forward as you go. The structure borrows from LitRPG, where the character levels up chapter by chapter. Here the character is you, and the final boss is your seating chart.

It is free to play. Sign in with Google and your progress saves, so you can put it down halfway through a quest and pick it back up next week without starting over.

Who it is for

Couples who just got engaged and have no idea where to start. Couples who are eight months in and completely stalled. Anyone who has opened a wedding planning checklist, felt their stomach drop, and quietly closed the tab. You do not need to be a gamer for any of this to land. If you have ever crossed something off a list and felt good about it, you already know how to play.

Why we built it

We photograph weddings for a living, which means we see the entire arc. We meet couples a year out, and we are standing there on the day itself. The couples who genuinely enjoy their wedding are almost never the ones who planned it perfectly. They are the ones who did not let the planning eat the engagement. This game is a small attempt at protecting that.

Play at your own pace, and come back whenever you have ten minutes. When you are ready to talk about photography for your day, we are at info@mckinleygphotography.com.
